1.The motors and circuit board will heat up with miseuse. We suggest the users take a 10 minute cool down break between flights to ensure the parts last as long as possible.
2.To avoid being burnt up the USB Charger,it should be used under currents input 0.5A.
3.Don't push the throttle up hard directly. Adjust the throttle slowly to avoid damage caused by loss of control.
4.The weight of quadcopter is less than 0.5lb and no registration is required for this model on FAA.
Headless Mode Tips: Flight direction proof is needed before the quad-copter is ready in headless mode. Set the head of the quad-copter ahead of the player and tail facing player before bindind the signal between copter and transmitter.and now the quad-copter's nose is pointing forward; this direction will be constantly considered as "forward".When the copter is flying in headless mode, player should keep facing the forward direction,do not turn your body's direction.

This is (was) my first drone. I didn’t want to drop $1000 on a DJI until I knew how to fly. This little guy is a great drone. I will keep this short: I didn’t test the camera or even use it. I just wanted to get a drone I could fly indoors and practice. The first thing I can say is READ THE MANUAL. There are things on the controller that are not obvious as far as operation (like trimming the forward/back/left/right). That said, this does fly well for a $100 drone. However one of the motors burned out after my 2nd day of use. So that was rude. Also I would HIGHLY suggest you use the prop guards…my houseplants would also very much agree. Here’s a list of pros and cons: PROS: 1 – Flies well and is very durable (I crashed it about 20 times) 2 – Great lights for night flying 3 – Looks cool 4 – Comes with 2 batteries (about 5 min. of flight each one) CONS: 1 – Motor burned out on day 2 2 – You have to screw in the prop guards which isnt obvious in the instruction manual 3 – Batteries are kind of a pain to swap out 4 – The light on the USB battery charger dont turn green when the battery is charged So overall I think this is a $49 drone, not a $100 drone.
CAUGHT ON FIRE updated

I am updating this review because holy stone customer service is great. This drones battery pack caught fire in my home. It happened and I want to be honest so others can make an informed purchase. However they have really tried to make things right and they have asked for detailed information so they can investigate what went wrong. Stuff happens…every product has a few duds.
Good for learning about drone cans, can-nots and do-nots

Got this for my FIRST “beginner” drone so that I could learn to take aerial photos and videos. I was drawn to the extra battery, altitude hold, return to home, and 720p camera. I was also swayed by the 1500+ reviews on Amazon. But I knew this would be an entry-level experience. I’ve had this drone for 10 days and have found that drift is a constant problem (trimming does not work well) and altitude hold can go berserk. I am guessing interference from my home WiFi network (especially near WeMo modules, wifi cams and streaming devices) or cordless phones. In the neighborhood park, the drone flew with more control and stability. Battery life is around 5 to 7 minutes on 25% power with the camera, propellor guards and landing gear attached – even when I am mostly hovering and trying to trim. The camera takes decent photos and videos in daylight, but grainy under indoor lighting. My favorite thing is battery charging takes less than 40 minutes. Had a problem with the microSD card which was fixed by reformatting with Apple Disk Utility. In sum, it’s a fair starter drone which you can (and will) bash around and learn quickly about flying/landing, shooting photos/videos, and maintaining a drone.
A Great First Drone

This is written with about 20 flights having been flown. This is my first drone. I suggest downloading the instruction manual from the Holy Stone website, it is slightly different from the one included in the box and is better at explaining some features. I started out frustrated that I could not get the drone to link with the remote. The instructions say to hold the throttle stick down, turn on the remote, and quickly move the throttle up and down. WRONG. simply turn on the remote, then move the throttle up then down. Works every time. The gyro does a good job keeping the drone level. but the trim adjustments don’t work very well, if at all. Some people have complained about video quality, but I think the video is just fine. The headless flying feature works, but if you are like me and walk around when flying you will find it is better to learn to fly without this feature. The default mode is standard flying, not headless. The default “speed” is slow but “speed” is not really speed but responsiveness. It is very simple to increase the “speed” and you will want to do this if there is any wind. The return button seems to be useless.
copter worked fine, downloaded videos and every one was apparently corrupted

revised review: after 1st time out getting some video, copter worked fine, downloaded videos and every one was apparently corrupted. videos were not playable. yes there were some hard landings but they were all in tall grass. shouldnt have damaged camera if thats why they arent playable. Revised Review #2. quadcopter makers sent a complete replacement copter. it works fine and video is also working on this unit. excellent customer service, quick and painless! not often that you can find a company that stands behind their product aswell as Holy Stone. A++
